Sharing Meal: Giving love and getting joy in return
09:00 | 15/05/2024

The SOJO by ROX collective and ROX Group volunteers collaborated with the An Yen kitchen on May 11 to prepare a meal for 1,000 patients and their family members at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and Vietnam National Cancer Hospital (Tan Trieu Branch).

Sharing Meal expands the ROX Share community's series of activities with the intention of delivering nourishing, home-cooked meals to family members and patients in need who are receiving treatment at two hospitals, thereby assisting them in bearing a portion of the financial strain.

The fire in An Yen's kitchen began about 7:30 in the morning. 44 dedicated individuals from ROX Group and SOJO by ROX showed up on the spot, helped wash veggies and rice, and prepped various delicacies.

The General Director of SOJO by ROX, Mr. Nguyen Ba Luan, is a very involved volunteer with the Sharing Meal initiative. This is his second time actively participating and personally preparing healthy meals for patients in three different organizations.

Additionally, this activity serves as a manifestation of solidarity in anticipation of the 28th Traditional Festival of ROX Group in May.

Appropriate for the physical condition of patients undergoing treatment at the Vietnam National Cancer Hospital and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, the dishes are meticulously prepared to ensure nutrition, food safety, and sanitation.

1,000 meals, including 230 meals for children and 770 meals for adults, were given to sick people and their families by the volunteers.

The program provides caring meals to children who are patients.

A family member of the patient expressed, We are incredibly appreciative of the shared meals. This is an authentic meal of affection, brimming with human warmth and delectableness.

With the assistance of SOJO by ROX as a co-organizer and 100 percent sponsor, Sharing Meal has accomplished its goal of providing spiritual upliftment and nutritional assistance to impoverished patients.

Regarding the volunteers, each individual is eager to make a positive impact on the children and families. A volunteer stated, The reward for loving and sharing is the exchange of pleasure and invaluable affection among individuals.
