The ROX Share - Accompany You To School initiative provided scholarships to 96 underprivileged students at Huy Giap Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, located in Bao Lac District, Cao Bang Province. Each scholarship, valued at VND 1 million, serves as a metaphorical seed that brings happiness and optimism to youngsters as they embark on their educational path.

This year's opening ceremony marks the introduction of a new school to the teachers and students of Huy Giap Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities. MSB Bank pledged to support the growth of local education by sponsoring the new, spacious school.

A representative of ROX Group said, ROX Group's ROX Share - Accompany You To School initiative was created with the intention of supporting children and has consistently worked to spread love to the future generation of the country. ROX Group aims to provide scholarships to students facing challenging circumstances at Huy Giap Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities. The objective is to establish an environment that enables these students to pursue their studies, engage in recreational activities, and achieve their aspirations.

This year's opening ceremony was more fun because the children have a new, spacious school.

Bao Lac District encompasses 15 communes in region III and 121 villages in highly challenging locations, hosting a diverse population of 7 ethnic groups, with ethnic minorities comprising 98.59% of the total. The majority of the population lives in rural areas, with more than 90% of the labor force engaged in agriculture and forestry. In 2022, the poverty rate is at 5,305 families, representing 47.19% of the population, while there are 1,366 near-poor households, accounting for 12.15%. Education is a crucial priority for achieving long-term escape from poverty. Nevertheless, in order to eradicate poverty via correspondence, educators and pupils must surmount several obstacles.

A teacher from Huy Giap Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities said, “Some kids must traverse passes and mountains and start their journey to school as early as 4am in order to arrive punctually. During the winter season, there are occasions when the temperature plummets to 0 degrees Celsius, rendering students' lightweight attire inadequate for shielding them from the frigid weather. Furthermore, it is worth noting that traditional practices persist in certain small communities of ethnic minority villages, such as early marriage. These customs provide additional challenges for students in their pursuit of literacy.

ROX Share will persist in the initiative Accompany You To School to inspire youngsters facing challenging situations to overcome adversity and succeed in life.
