The recent Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi) severely damaged both human life and property in the northern areas. In addition to the death toll, the floodwaters swept away many people's homes, collapsed their dwellings, and left them stranded with no shelter from the sun and rain. Yagi victims are fighting to recover from the storm and start their lives over.

Super Typhoon Yagi reportedly destroyed 805 schools, 550 medical institutions, and more than 141,400 homes, according to UNICEF.

Through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFF Central Committee), the ROX Group's leadership has contributed VND 500 million in sympathy for the suffering and loss experienced by flood victims, hoping to help rebuild damaged homes for households in Lao Cai and Yen Bai, the two most badly hit provinces. This timely contribution is aimed at extending the ROX Group's community-oriented activities of Sharing Love.

SOJO Hotel Lao Cai participated in cooking rice for people in flood areas.

Simultaneously, the Group's employees have initiated and will continue to initiate several charitable activities in their respective regions of operation, aiding in the alleviation of challenging circumstances. In Lao Cai, personnel prepared rice for flood-affected regions to assist those facing hardships following the natural catastrophe. In September, the personnel and divisions of ROX Group will persist in their contributions to assist those impacted by the typhoon and the flood.

The Vietnam Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MSB) has contributed VND 1 billion through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee to help those affected by Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi). Similarly, from now until December 31, 2024, MSB will reduce the loan interest rate by 1% per annum relative to the present rate for business households obtaining capital from MSB.

At the commencement of the 2024-2025 academic year, representatives from ROX Group and MSB inaugurated the new facility at Huy Giap Ethnic Boarding Secondary School in Bao Lac District, Cao Bang, and conferred 96 scholarships to students facing hardships, thereby enhancing the school's stability in teaching and learning during the storrmy season.

Over 28 years have passed since the founding and evolution of the multi-industry group ROX. The Group's management has prioritized community responsibility since its founding, establishing it as a hallmark of corporate culture through various initiatives branded as ROX Share.
