17:00 | 26/03/2026

A fully packed auditorium and prolonged rounds of applause after each climax during the performance of “The Nutcracker" at Ho Guom Opera House demonstrated the enduring appeal of this classical ballet. Academic art has found a new audience segment and moved closer to the capital's public, with the support of partners such as ROX Group and MSB.

On the evening of March 25, 2026, artists of the Russian State Ballet, together with the Hanoi Symphony Orchestra, Gio Xanh Choir, and conductor Tran Nhat Minh, led the audience into the magical world of the classical ballet “The Nutcracker."

Under the direction of Artistic Director Vyacheslav Gordeev, a 20th-century Russian ballet legend, the Russian State Ballet delivered a standard-setting performance, highlighted by the impressive portrayal of two soloists, Ekaterina Makeeva (as Marie) and Dmitry Kotermin (as the Prince).

The stage space unfolded with splendid layers of scenery, guiding the audience into the enchanting Christmas world of the young girl Marie and the “Nutcracker" Prince.

The music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky guided emotions, creating a sense of sublimation in the rhythm and choreography, allowing “The Nutcracker" story to be vividly expressed through movement.

At many climactic moments, the auditorium resonated with prolonged applause following technically demanding performances, especially the jumps and “pas de deux" (duets) that require refined coordination between the artists.

The performers captivated the audience with their technical mastery as well as their expressive acting and vivid physical storytelling.

Sharing after the performance, an audience member remarked: Russian ballet is truly impressive and distinctive. The program was also very professionally organized, delivering an experience of international standards.

The combination of a world-class ballet company and the Hanoi Symphony Orchestra created an inspiring performance that was complete in both visual and auditory dimensions. The evening served as a testament to the enduring vitality of classical works as they continue to attract new audiences.

Continuing its 30-year journey of Creating and Reaching Further, ROX Group has accompanied high-end artistic programs as a way to steadily cultivate refined living values—graceful, quality, and sophisticated—thereby contributing to enriching cultural life and elevating community aesthetic standards.
