​On August 31, a statue of President Ho Chi Minh was unveiled at Royal Central Park in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, marking another milestone in the friendship between Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan and opening a new space for cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the two countries.

The ceremony was attended by senior leaders and representatives of relevant agencies from both countries. The Vietnamese delegation included Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, representatives of ministries, sectors and diplomatic agencies, as well as ROX Group leaders. The Kyrgyz side was represented by the Speaker of Parliament, the Mayor of Bishkek, the Minister of Internal Affairs and representatives of relevant authorities.

The event took place on Kyrgyzstan's Independence Day, August 31, marking the 35th anniversary of the country's independence (August 31, 1991–August 31, 2026), and ahead of Vietnam's National Day on September 2, as part of a broader program of exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

Vietnamese connections in the heart of Bishkek

According to cultural and heritage experts, President Ho Chi Minh holds a place in the collective memory of generations of Kyrgyz people, known not only as the leader of Vietnam but also as a symbol associated with national independence, self-reliance and the aspiration for freedom.

The presence of President Ho Chi Minh's statue in the heart of Bishkek provides local residents and the Vietnamese community in Kyrgyzstan with an opportunity to learn more about President Ho Chi Minh, as well as Vietnam's history and culture. It also creates a place for dialogue and greater mutual understanding between the two peoples.

Also on August 31, at ROX Center, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan met with Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Kyrgyzstan. As part of the Vietnamese community overseas, they contribute to connecting people and fostering friendship between the two countries.

At the same time, at Bishkek Arena, Kyrgyzstan shared its nomadic culture and heritage with the world through the 6th World Nomad Games ss. ROX Group participated in the event as an official sponsor.

Three spaces, three ways for Vietnam to be present in Bishkek: a historical symbol in an urban setting; a Vietnamese community living and working in the country; and a Vietnamese enterprise accompanying an event celebrating local culture.
