The international expansion of Vietnamese businesses is entering a new phase: moving beyond seeking business opportunities in overseas markets to proactively creating new value. Through this process, Vietnamese enterprises are strengthening their capabilities and gradually reaching new positions on the international stage.
Accelerating international expansion
According to the Foreign Investment Agency under the Ministry of Finance, Vietnamese businesses invested more than US$1.2 billion overseas in the first half of 2026, nearly 2.5 times the figure recorded in the same period of 2025. Among the 33 countries and territories receiving Vietnamese investment, Laos ranked first, followed by Cambodia and Kyrgyzstan.
This trend comes as the Ministry of Industry and Trade implements the “Go Global – Expanding into International Markets 2026–2035" program, which aims to develop 1,000 enterprises with global competitiveness.
Research by UOB also points to growing demand for international expansion. Seven out of 10 surveyed businesses expanded their overseas operations in 2025, while 80% expected to invest abroad over the following one to two years, with an average investment size of approximately US$28 million.
Experts note that when Vietnamese businesses compete on an equal footing in overseas markets, their success extends beyond individual brands. It can also help strengthen the reputation of Vietnamese goods and services and enhance Vietnam's economic standing internationally. .
Turning Vietnamese values into reality in new markets
In response to the Government's “Go Global" policy and initiatives launched by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to promote international expansion, a growing number of domestic corporations are proactively broadening their investment footprint overseas.
As Vietnamese businesses go global, one question arises: what will they bring to new markets? The answer goes beyond capital. It also lies in project development, management and operational capabilities, the ability to adapt to new challenges, and the capacity to create practical value for local communities.
ROX Group's presence in more than 10 countries illustrates such an approach. Through market research across Asia, Europe and Africa, together with partner engagement, suitable opportunities have gradually emerged. Through its member companies, ROX Group has established strategic partnerships with a number of developers in Central Asia and Kyrgyzstan, bringing its capabilities in large-scale real estate development, energy and operations management to new markets.
In Kyrgyzstan, the Royal Central Park “All-in-One" urban development in Bishkek is being developed by ROX Living Global. Covering 53.5 hectares, the project has an expected total investment of US$2.5–3.5 billion. Once operational, the project is expected to contribute to infrastructure development, support international-standard urban development, improve quality of life for local residents and create a new growth hub for the capital.

In the energy sector, ROX Energy Global is the development and management partner of the ROX Issyk-Kul Solar Farm. Phase I, with total investment of US$130 million, was completed in just eight months. In June 2026, the project was successfully connected to the national grid, contributing to the country's energy security while strengthening Kyrgyzstan's position in the global renewable energy landscape. Once the full investment plan is completed, the ROX Issyk-Kul Solar Farm is expected to reach a total capacity of 1,900 MWp.

Alongside its business activities, ROX Group is also actively investing in social welfare, education, human development and local infrastructure planning.
Building connections through culture
When investing overseas, a business is essentially entering a new cultural environment. Alongside business capabilities, cultural bridges are needed to connect enterprises with local communities.
Recognizing this, ROX Group and its member companies in Kyrgyzstan are gradually creating cultural points of connection within the urban spaces they develop.
At Royal Central Park, public spaces and community activities are being developed as an integral part of urban life. Since 2025, the site has regularly hosted arts programs, water and music shows, light displays and fireworks on weekends and during major holidays.

In late August, a series of activities at Royal Central Park, including the Autumn Festival and “All-in-One" lifestyle experiences, continued to bring a festive atmosphere to the development, turning an urban project into a place for community interaction and shared experiences. ROX Group is also set to accompany the 2026 World Nomad Games as an official sponsor.
In the heart of Bishkek, ROX Center has become a cultural meeting point, connecting local residents, business leaders and the Vietnamese community through community events, music and arts programs, while also creating opportunities for business meetings and cooperation.

At the same time, ROX is actively bringing Vietnamese culture to international audiences, including through its sponsorship of an artistic delegation from the Vietnam National Academy of Music for a performance in Azerbaijan.
While music and arts events serve as everyday cultural touchpoints in urban communities, ROX Group is also set to participate in a series of larger-scale programs where culture intersects with diplomacy and national heritage is commemorated in the heart of Kyrgyzstan.
The series will begin with a floral tribute ceremony commemorating President Ho Chi Minh at the square named after him within Royal Central Park on August 31. On the same day, the Vietnamese Vice President will meet with the Vietnamese community at ROX Center. The activities will conclude on September 1 with a major music event at Royal Central Park attended by senior leaders from both countries.
Throughout these activities, ROX Group is contributing as a bridge through which Vietnamese values can be preserved and shared more widely, even thousands of kilometers from the homeland.
From an urban development in the heart of Bishkek to a solar farm in Issyk-Kul, from the stage of the World Nomad Games to the square named after President Ho Chi Minh, ROX Group's journey in Kyrgyzstan illustrates how Vietnamese businesses today are entering the global arena not only through investment capital, but also through development capabilities and an understanding of local cultures.
As more Vietnamese brands establish a presence on the global map, the “Go Global" journey is becoming more than an action program. It is opening new pathways for Vietnamese values to reach further, while showcasing Vietnamese capabilities and stature on the international stage.
