These include the Nutcracker Overture, Op. 71 – the introductory music of the ballet of the same name; the Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 35 – the only violin concerto composed by Tchaikovsky in 1878; and Symphony No. 5 in E minor, Op. 64 – where Tchaikovsky expressed complex and extreme contrasts of emotion, delving into every corner of the human soul.
