Dien Chau is the only district in Nghe An that enjoys the complete benefits of all three strategic economic corridors: the Eastern coastal economic corridor connected to National Highway 1, the North-South Expressway, the coastal road, the national railway, and the coastal belt road; the National Highway 7 economic corridor; and the National Highway 48 economic corridor, forming a rare multidirectional trade axis.
The official opening of the Dien Chau – Bai Vot Expressway on June 30, 2024, has significantly shortened travel time between the North Central and Northern regions, positioning Dien Chau as a crucial link in the inter-regional logistics network.

Vinh Airport is being expanded with over VND 1,000 billion in investment to upgrade it to an international airport.
