Brands' innovative sparks in the Dragon Year
09:00 | 05/02/2024

The dragon mascot serves as an inspiring symbol for innovative brands to introduce new product lines, develop visual aesthetics, or integrate with entertainment initiatives in order to allure customers.

The dragon holds great significance in Eastern culture, serving as a mythical emblem that represents strength, plenty, and success. Dragons hold significant cultural significance in Vietnamese culture.

Legend has it that the Vietnamese people trace their aristocratic lineage back to "the descendants of the Dragon and immortal sages." The dragon holds significant cultural and religious importance in Vietnamese society. It serves as both a symbol of the Vietnamese people's origins and a deity associated with water supplies. The dragon is believed to possess the power to enhance vitality and promote successful crop growth. The dragon motif is firmly embedded in the collective consciousness, lending its name to several locations such as Thang Long (Flying Dragon), Ha Long (Bay of Descending Dragons), Cuu Long (Nine Dragons), and so on.

Drawing inspiration from the zodiac animal that represents the year of the Dragon, a number of brands have developed representations of dragons in a range of forms.

By way of illustration, Minh Long Ceramics has introduced a Dragon Statue collection, which pays tribute to the cultural heritage of Vietnam via the imaginative interpretations of young people.

For the purpose of putting fresh faces on Tet season items and drawing the attention of customers, consumer brands such as Coca-Cola, KitKat, Maison Marou, and others employ dragon images or dragon themes on their product packaging during Tet. An updated version of "Dragon Fruit," which symbolizes the mascot of the Year of the Dragon, is presented by Lifebouy, among other things.

During the Tet holiday season, SOJO Hotels incorporates an illustration of a fortunate mascot into its visual design. Additionally, the hotel chain blends this image with other entertainment events in order to impress guests.
